Albert H. Eftink

Albert Herman Eftink, 98, of Chaffee, Missouri passed away at Chaffee Nursing Center on October 13, 2019.
Albert was born December 13, 1920 in Portageville, Missouri to the late John H. and Josephine (Glastetter) Eftink. He married Martha Mary Klipfel on August 12, 1947, and she survives in Chaffee.
Albert was a self-employed farmer all of his life and farming was his passion. He was an active member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Chaffee and was a member of the St. Ambrose Men’s Club. Albert also loved playing cards, hunting, camping, fishing and telling jokes.
He is survived by his loving wife, Martha of Chaffee; four sons, Jim (Charlotte) of Bloomsdale; Jerome of Chaffee; David (Kathy) of Oran; Greg (Shirley) of Scott City; five daughters, Patsy (Dan) Brase of Cape Girardeau; Marti (Tom) Obermann of Chaffee; Sarah (Rick) Ross of Festus; Clara (Donnie) Essner of Chaffee and Betty Eftink of Jackson; a sister-in-law Matilda Eftink of Portageville, twenty-five grandchildren and thirty great-grandchildren with three on the way!
He was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law Sharlett Eftink, a son-in-law Jim Diebold, two grandchildren, Mathew Eftink and Laura Eftink, his parents, five brothers, three sister-in-laws, three sisters and two brother-in-laws.
Friends may call after 5:00 pm on Tuesday, October 15 at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. Parish prayers will be at 7:00 pm.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am, Wednesday, October 16 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Chaffee with Rev. Randy Tochtrop as celebrant. Burial will be at St. Ambrose Catholic Cemetery in Chaffee.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to: St. Ambrose Catholic Church or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
