Willie Clifton Evans, age 74, of Chaffee, Missouri passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2020 at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Mr. Evans was born on March 19, 1946 in Sikeston, Missouri to the late Horace W. and Hazel M. (Dismuke) Evans.
He proudly served in the Army during the Vietnam War.
On October 07, 1967 he married Bertie Shirkey in Sikeston, Missouri, she survives.
Also surviving are one daughter: Nancy (Sean) Barnes of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; two brothers: Freddie Evans of Sikeston, Missouri, Michael (Theresa) Evans of Plano, Texas; five sisters: Marsha Blackburn of Sikeston, Missouri, Elaine Hodgkiss of Irving, Texas, Sue (Dennis) McKown of Montgomery, Alabama, Karen (Leon) Kaiser of Clarksville, Tennessee, Debbie (Daniel ) Barrozo of Sikeston, Missouri; and four grandchildren: Kayne and Gavin McCormick of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Dylan and Lauryn Barnes of Cape Girardeau; and many nieces and nephews.
Apart from his parents, he was also proceeded in death by one son: Willie C.
Evans Jr.
There will be a Memorial service on Monday, September 21, 2020 with the Visitation starting at 9:30 am in the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffe. Memorial Service will follow at 10:00 am with Rev. Barry Pfanstiel in the funeral home chapel. Committal will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield
