William G "Bill" Mcferron

William G. “Bill” McFerron, son of the late G.E. “Bill” and Elizabeth “Betty” Campbell McFerron was born on October 30, 1952 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and departed his life on Monday, July 24, 2023 at his residence in Chaffee, Missouri at the age of 70 years.

​He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Chaffee and a former employee of 38 years with Frisco, Burlington Northern, and the BNSF Railway. Bill was member of the Chaffee Historical Society, BRS local union #129, serving as the Recording Financial Secretary for several years, and very active in several organizations in Chaffee community.

​On December 10, 1977 he was united in marriage to Alice Faye Tidwell.  Mrs. McFerron survives of the home in Chaffee.

​Besides his wife, survivors include one son Darin (Stephanie) McFerron of Chaffee; two daughters, Brooke (Jason) Harrell of Imperial, Missouri and Megan McFerron of Chaffee; one sister, Sarah Dumey of Bloomfield; nine grandchildren, Kaitlin, Austin, Hayden, Khloe, Keller, Kasten, Nicholas, Lucas, and Reese; also, by other relatives and friends.

After retirement, Bill enjoyed attending all of his grandkids sporting events and farming with his friends. He also made sure to make his rounds to the Chaffee Rhodes for his daily cup of coffee and the Chaffee Nutrition Center.

​Celebration of life will be held on Friday, July 28, 2023 from 4:00 until 7:00 P.M. at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.

In lieu of flowers family request that donations be made Chaffee Historical Society or Chaffee Alumni Association.
