Weldon Ellis Crook, 72 of Scott City died Sunday, December 23, 2019 at his home. He was born April 1, 1947 in Reverie, Tennessee to Nathan Andrew and Margie Owens Crook. He married Janice Grogan on April 18, 1971 in Salem, Missouri. She preceded him in death on March 17, 1996. He later married Ruthanne Crook on May 1, 1999 in Scott City.

He was a certified blaster for Tower Rock & Stone. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He is survived by his wife, Ruthanne; two daughters, Michele (Ken) Carmode of Dexter, Missouri and Angela (Matt) Clover of Jackson and three grandchildren, Tyson, Addison and Drake.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; three brothers and three sisters.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am on Thursday until the time of service at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 pm on Thursday at the chapel with Rev. Jeremy Sells officiating.

Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery in Scott City with full military honors.
