Warner Ray Diggs

Warner “Bud” R. Diggs, 84, of Delta departed this earthly world on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 surrounded by his loving family

He was born on Nov. 9, 1934 in Denton, Texas to the late Rev. Arthur Cecil and Ola Mae Finney Diggs. He was united in marriage to Shirley Jean Howell on November 28, 1953 and she survives of the home.

Warner worked for Todt Sheet Metal as parts manager for 19 years, and was self-employed until his retirement in 1997. He was a member of New Life Fellowship, Church of God of Prophecy of Delta. Bud honorably served in the US Navy. He was known for his steadfast dedication to his family and to the Lord and also blessed with many friends.

He is survived by his loving wife Shirley Diggs of Delta; three sons, Gary (Betty) Diggs of Delta; Jeff (Rhonda) Diggs of Delta; Mike (Vicki) Diggs of Kansas City; two sisters, Shirley Lands of Allenville and Bernice Lukow of Gordonville; thirteen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by a son, Terry Diggs; two brothers and one sister.

Friends may call after 10:30 am until time of service on Friday at New Life Fellowship, Church of God of Prophecy of Delta.

Funeral Service will be at 11:30 am on Friday at the Church with Rev. Danny Freeland officiating. Burial will be at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield with full military honors.

In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to: Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel to assist with funeral expenses.
