Verlon Phillips

Verlon Phillips, son of the late Lee Phillips and Sylvia Nole Phillips was born on January 6, 1923 in Arkansas and departed this life on Saturday November 16, 2019 at his residence in Dexter, Missouri at the age of 96 years.

Mr. Phillips was a retired Union Carpenter from Chicago, Illinois and a member of the Gospel Assembly Church.

On April 17, 1943 he was united in marriage to Teshia Inadel Boley. Mrs. Phillips preceded him in death.

Survivors include one son, Robert Phillips (PAT) of Dexter; one sister, Loretta Izola Luttrel of Memphis; by three grandsons Bobby and Tony Phillips and Mark Cox; also by many great-grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren.

Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Linda Jean Phillips; five brothers, Vernon Phillps, Vernie Phillips, Vance Phillips, Vick Phillips, and Vester Phillips; by one sister, Ida Azella Phillips.

Visitation will be held from Noon until 1:00 P.M. Tuesday November 19, 2019 at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Chaffee. Graveside services will follow in the Forrest Hills Memorial Cemetery near Morley.
