Velma Hester

Velma Lois Hester, 75 of Branson, Missouri died Monday, February 17, 2020 at Cox Hospital in Branson, Missouri. She was born January 10, 1945 in Chaffee, Missouri to Lawrence and Jessie Bailey Glency. She married Watson Hughes Hester on October 6, 1967.

She was a member of Arbor General Baptist Church.

She is survived by a son, Michael (Ruth Ann) Hester of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Stacey Birk of Branson; a sister, LaVerne Simpson of Chaffee; eight grandchildren, Chelsea, Taylor, Bailey, Christian, Michaela, Jessica, Theresa, Paul and three great grandchildren, Avery, Persephone and Brecken.

Visitation will be from 5:00 – 8:00 pm on Thursday at the Amick-Burnett Chapel in Chaffee.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 am on Friday at the chapel with Rev. Bob Lewis officiating.

Burial will be in Kenyon Cemetery in Delta, Missouri.
