Vanessa Moore

Vanessa Irene Moore, 64 of Benton, Missouri died Monday, September 19, 2022 at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.  She was born on September 22, 1957 in Denver, Colorado to Raymond Estel and Audrey Louise Whitney Horton, Sr.  She married Rick Joe Moore in 1994.

She worked at Wal-Mart as a cake designer/decorator.   She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and wife.

She is survived by her husband Rick of Benton; three sons, Chris (Della) Moore of Jackson, Steve (Angela) Horton of Briggsdale, Colorado and Ricky (Brandi) Geisert of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; two daughters, Monica Muehlfelt of Scott City and Alissa Moore of Berthoud, Colorado; a brother, Mickey Horton of Denver; two sisters, Virginia Evans of Kansas and Anita Fikan of Colorado and eleven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Raymond Horton, Jr; two sisters, Shirley Nash and Ramona Mitchem.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm on Friday at the Unity Baptist Church in Benton.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 pm on Friday at the church with Rev. Dennis Lowe officiating.
