Toney Hensley

Toney Marshall Hensley Sr., son of the late Thomas Marshall and Eva Mae (Davidson) Hensley was born December 1, 1934 in Fornfelt, Missouri and departed his life surrounded by family on Friday, July 8, 2022 at his residence in Benton, Missouri at the age of 87 years. Mr. Hensley had served in the United States Army. On June 2, 1962 he married Shirley Tucker at the Unity Baptist Church in Benton, Missouri. She survives. Also surviving are two sons: Toney Marshall (Lawanda) Hensley Jr. of Benton, Missouri, Kevin (Yvonne) Hensley of Brownsville, Texas; one daughter: Cheryl (Tommy) Riley of Sikeston, Missouri; thirteen grandchildren: Paul (Sara) Gammons, Alan (Tiffany) Hensley, Tyler Ward, Matthew Fredwell, Katelynn Ward, Ashlynn (Lee) Taylor, Derek Thompson, Alex (Taryn Ramey) Ollis, Tiffany (Chris Beck) Hensley, Kristen Hensley, Samantha (Thomas Sheppard) Hensley, Ava Hensley, Arian Hensley, Rose (Phillip) McNutt; twelve great-grandchildren: Hailey, Bryce, Annalise, Emma, Camri, Damon, Tucker, Steven, Sophia, Isabella, Thomas, and Collier. Apart from his parents, he was proceeded in the death by three brothers: James, Cliff and John Hensley; four sisters: Ann, Ruth, Mary Lou, Becky; and one great grandchild: Hannah Hensley. The family would like to give a special thank you to Mrs. Michelle Barton, Saint Francis Hospice, and very special thanks to Rev. Dennis Lowe. Visitation will be on Wednesday July 13, 2022 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton, Missouri. Funeral Service will be conducted on Thursday, July 14, 2022 at 10:00am in the Unity Baptist Church in Benton, Missouri with Rev. Dennis Lowe officiating. Interment will follow at the Unity Baptist Cemetery in Benton, Missouri with full military honors.
