Tenea Marie Choate

Tenea Marie Choate, 62, of Benton passed away Saturday, December 15, 2018 at home surrounded by her loving family

She was born on June 22, 1956 in Peoria, Illinois to the late Leslie Conure and Dorothy Malee Dodismann Hampton. She married Rick L. Choate on Set. 14, 1974 and he survives of the home.

Tenea was a retired executive assistant for Med Assets Inc. - Vizient. She was a member of Cape First Church in Cape Girardeau.

She is survived by her husband, Rick Choate of Benton; two sons, Brian (Natalie) Choate of Edmond, Oklahoma; Lucas (Brianne) Choate of Cannon Air force Base, New Mexico; two brothers, Les (Mickey) Hampton of Chaffee and John Hampton of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; two sisters, Peggy Nicely of Lady Lake, Florida and Margene (Tony) Rivera of Bedford, Virginia; four grandchildren.

Friends may call after 10:00 am until time of service on Monday, December 17, 2018 at Cape First Church in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral Service will be at 2:00 pm on Monday at the Church with Rev. Gary Brothers officiating. We will meet at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee on Tuesday at 9:00 am to travel to Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri for the 10:00 am burial.
