Sylvester Felter, Jr

Sylvester Gerard Felter Jr., 60 of Benton, Missouri died Sunday, March 10, 2019, at his home. He was born July 26, 1958 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri to Sylvester A. and Mildred Coletta Schlitt Felter.

He worked as maintenance/loader operator for Buzzi Unicem USA. He was a member of St. Denis Catholic Church in Benton and a member of the Carpenter’s Union Local 1770

Survivors include; a son, Sylvester Chadwick Felter of Benton; sisters and brothers, Shirley (Don) Cook, Linda (Ken) Ressel, LaVerne Felter, Delores "Chip" Ancell, Doris (Glenn) Stubenrauch, Dianne (Gary) Galwith, Yvonne (Joe Jr.) Schwartz, Susie (Bo) Bohannon, David (Bev) Felter, Mary (Mark) Reed, Carla (David) Lynch and Joey Felter; 10 nieces; 20 nephews; 27 great-nieces; and 30 great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Mary Felter and Marilyn Felter; two brothers, Robert “Frog” Felter and Jerry Felter and a niece, Erica Reed.

Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 pm on Wednesday at the Amick-Burnett Chapel in Benton.

Funeral mass will be at 10:00 am on Thursday at the St. Denis Catholic Church in Benton with Father Bala as celebrant.

Burial will be in St. Denis Catholic Cemetery in Benton.
