Steven "Skinny" Joseph Thomas I

Steven “Skinny” Joseph Thomas I, 65, of Cape Girardeau, Missouri passed away Monday, December 2, 2019 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.

He was born on October 29, 1954 in Chaffee, Missouri to the late Earl James and Mary Catherine Kiefer Thomas. He was united in marriage to Patricia “Trish” Harris on Aug. 14, 1976 and she survives of the home.

Steven “Skinny” was a laborer with local Union 1104 of Cape Girardeau. He served in United States Army.

He is survived by his loving wife Trish; a daughter Michelle (Shannon Mungle) Dietrich of Cape Girardeau; a brother Robert Thomas of St. Charles, Missouri; a sister Diana (Doyle) Tankersley of Centertown, Missouri and four grandchildren, Maddisan and Marrlana Dietrich, Brianna and Logan Thomas.

He was preceded by a son, Steven Thomas II and two brothers.

Friends may call after 9:00 AM on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.

Funeral Service will be at 10:00 AM at the Chapel with Jim Smiley as officiant. Burial will be at Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee with full military honors.
