Steve Cruz

Steve Rodriguez Cruz, Jr., 67 of Benton, Missouri died Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at Memorial Baptist Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. He was born March 11, 1953 in Plains, Texas to Steven and Martha Rodriguez Cruz. He married Cathie Galloway on October 27, 1980.

He was a certified mechanic and farmer. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard.

He is survived by his wife Cathie; two sons, Raymond (Sonia) Galloway and Stephen (Kathy) Cruz of Benton; three daughters, Miranda (Steve) Glasser of Blodgett, Missouri, Marisela Cruz of Benton and Alisha Fisk of Fruitland, Missouri; three brothers, Johnny (Donna) Cruz of Dallas, Texas, Roy Cruz of Mineral Wells, Texas and Ray Cruz of Los Angeles, California; a sister, Nancy (Edward) Sanchez of Portales, New Mexico; fourteen grandchildren and a great great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister.

Visitation will be from 5 – 8 pm on Tuesday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott Cit.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday at the chapel with Rev. Denis Lowe officiating.

Burial will be in Unity Baptist Cemetery in Benton with military honors.
