Stephen Curtis Mcclard

Stephen Curtis McClard, son of the late Harvey William McClard and Hettie Gertrude (Jaco)

McClard was born on June 7, 1953 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and departed this Thursday, November 16, 2023 at his residence surrounded by family and friends in Chaffee, Missouri at the age of 70 years.

He was a former employee of Southern Pacific Railroad for 32 years, a member of the First Baptist Church in Delta, a member of Trinity Methodist Church committee, and served on the board for the Delta Community Center.  He also served as a volunteer fire fighter on the Delta Fire Department for many years.

Stephen took great honor in serving his church and community. He was a jack of all trades.  He especially loved traveling to Texas with family. He was extremely proud of his grandson.

On July 26, 1975 he was united in marriage to Donna McClard in Delta, Missouri.

He is survived by his wife Donna; two daughters, Jill (Howard) Walther of Houston Texas and Erica (Larry Scott) Dunning of Burfordville, Missouri; two sisters, Julie McAlister of Chaffee and Mary Moreland of Jackson; also, by one grandson, R.J. Vandeven and other relatives and friends.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, William Harvey McClard.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 until 7:00 PM on Monday, November 20, 2023 at the First Baptist Church in Delta. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at 1:00 pm at the First Baptist Church in Delta with Rev. Randy Conn officiating. Interment will be held at the Trinity Methodist Cemetery aka The Little German Church and Cemetery near Whitewater, Missouri.
