Sonya Allen, daughter of the late Robert “Buddy” Bom and Loretta Shively Bom was born on December 18, 1980 in Sikeston, Missouri and departed her life on Friday, August 26, 2022 at the Saint Francis Medical Center Emergency Room in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 41.

She was a graduate of Kelly Senior High School and received an associates degree from Miller-Motte College.  Sonya was employed with New Dawn State School in Sikeston, Missouri as a Teachers Aid and Supervise Bus Attendant. She was also a resident of Benton, Missouri.

Survivors include her fiancé, Bradley Butrum of Benton; one daughter, Isabelle Allen of Benton, two sons, Joshua Butrum and Bret Butrum both of Benton; three brothers, Chuck Bom of New Madrid, Missouri, Danny Bom of Sedilia, Missouri, and Robert Bom of Farmington; also, by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2022 from 4:00 until 7:00 P.M. at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton.  Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapels assisting with arrangements.
