Sonya Blankenship

Sonya Mae Blankenship, 62 of Scott City, Missouri died Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at her home.  She was born May 2, 1960 in Indiana to Truman Sonny and Edna Rector Hazel.  She married Gary Blankenship on July 19, 1986.

She was a homemaker and a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Chaffee, Missouri. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, spoiling her grandchildren, and camping.

She is survived by her husband, Gary of Scott City; her mother Edna Hazel; three daughters, Dahna (David) Ehrenberg of Cape Girardeau, Tisha Clubbs of Scott City and Jamey (Lance) Yount of Jackson, Missouri; a son, Chad Ing of Benton, Missouri a brother, Eddie Hazel of Danville, Arkansas; a sister, Deborah Ing of Benton; eight grandchildren, Cody, McKenzie, Kelli, Jaleigh, Jacey, Kambri, Jacob and Carson and a great granddaughter, Maelynn.

She was preceded in death by her father.

She will be loved and missed by all that knew her.

Celebration of life and dinner will be held at the Chaffee Nutrition Center on Saturday, January, 14th at 1:00.
