Shirley J Philpott

Shirley Philpott, daughter of the late Leslie Stephen Hollis and Mayme Ethel (Moore) Hollis was born on January 13, 1947 in Dexter, Missouri and departed her life on November 9, 2023 at Winchester Nursing Center in Bernie, Missouri at the age of 76 years.

Mrs. Philpott was a former Certified Nursing Assistant at Vintage Villa Nursing Home in Dexter, Missouri, member of Hill General Baptist Church, and a resident of Bloomfield, Missouri.

She was united in marriage to Ronald Kohms.  He preceded her in death in 1969.  She was also united in marriage to Deward Eugene Philpott. He preceded her in death in 2015.

Survivors include two daughters, Melissa England (the late Jay Daniels) of Bloomfield and Stacy (Bradley) Dowdy of Essex, Missouri; five grandchildren, Ashley (Mike) Phillips, Roni (Derek) England, Sydney Courter, Stephenie Courter, and Delanie Courter; by five great-grandchildren, Ryker Clark and Jaycie Clark, JT Marron, Roan Marron, and Blakley Marron; also, by other relatives and friends.

Besides her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

Graveside services will be conducted on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. in the Gravel Hill Cemetery near Bloomfield, Missouri.  Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapels in charge of arrangements.
