Shirley E. Ledure
Shirley Ledure, daughter of the late Theon Blattel and Elfrieda Hess Blattel was born on August 8, 1931 in Ancell, Missouri and departed her life on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at the Fountainbleau Lodge in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 91 years.
She was a member of the St. Augustine Catholic Church, Ladies Sodality in Kelso, Missouri, Knight of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary, and a resident of Kelso.
On February 14, 1950 she was united in marriage to Elmer T. Ledure in Kelso, Missouri. Mr. Ledure preceded her in death on April 8, 1994.
Survivors include two sons, David (Sharon) Ledure of Jackson and Bob Ledure of Kelso; by one daughter, Diane Jackson (Dave Riley) of Benton; one brother, Larry (Mabel) Blattel; two grandchildren, Paul and Jason Ledure both of Cape Girardeau; five great-grandchildren, Bailey, Kendell (Lucy) Trent, Parker, and Riley; one great-great-granddaughter Amelia; and by daughter-in-law Gale Ledure.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Terry Ledure; by one brother, Theodore J. “T.J.” Blattel; and by one sister, Mildred (Milly) Westrich.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 13, 2023 from 4:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City with Parrish prays held at 7:30 P.M. Funeral mass will be conducted on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. in the St. Augustine Catholic Church with Father Tom Wilk officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Augustine Catholic Cemetery.
