Shelby "Skip Steger

Shelby “Skip” Lance Steger, son of the late Leo “Bud” and Vera (Owens) Steger was born January 27, 1953 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and departed his life on Friday, June 23, 2023 at his residence in Kelso, Missouri at the age of 70 years. He was veteran of the United States Air Force and had served during the Vietnam War. On February 14, 1976 he married Charlene Kern at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church in New Hamburg, Missouri. She Survives. Apart from his wife, he is survived by one brother: Shannon (Edith) Steger of Chaffee, Missouri. Apart from his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother: Jeffrey Steger; and one sister: Sharon Raines. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 from 9:00am until 9:45 am at the St. Lawrence Parish Center in New Hamburg, Missouri. Funeral Mass will be conducted at 10:00 am at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church in New Hamburg with Rev. Daniel Belkin officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Lawrence Catholic Cemetery with full military honors.
