Ruby Joyce Brant

Ruby Brant, daughter of the late Ernest Kinder and Clara Shumate Kinder was born on April 14, 1929 in Vanduser, Missouri and departed this life on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at the Puxico Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Puxico, Missouri at the age of 91 years.

Mrs. Brant was a former Cook for Mingo Job Corp in Puxico and former employee of 20 years of Florsheim Shoe Factory in Cape Girardeau, Missouri Ruby was a  resident of Wappapello, Missouri

On September 9, 1948 she was united in marriage to George (Smokey) Brant in Benton, Missouri. Mr. Brant preceded her in death on March 18, 1991.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sons, Ricky Brant, Kenny Brant, and Terry Brant; by six brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include five grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren;  by two daughters-in-law, Patti and Vicki Brant; also, by her loving dog Sugar.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 until 1:00 on Friday, October 9, 2020 at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. Funeral services will then be conducted on Friday at 1:00 P.M. in the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.  Interment will follow in the Lightner Cemetery in Scott City.
