Roy Lee Reeves, 84 of Fruitland, Missouri died Monday, August 30, 2021 at his home. He was born December 12, 1936 in Illmo, Missouri to Luther L. and Martha Marie Davis Reeves. He married Jo Ann Williams on July 23, 1955. She preceded him in death on June 18, 2003.
Roy was the owner/operator of Reeves Painting Company in Jackson. He was a member of the Cowboy Church in Fruitland. Roy was known by all to be a good and kind man, who never knew a stranger. He loved God and he loved his family.
He is survived by his children, Kim Miller of Fruitland, Teresa (Mike) Ruppel of Jackson, Christina (Kyle) Brost of Cape Girardeau, Robin Reeves of Scottsdale, Arizona and Roy (Karen) Reeves II of Oak Ridge, Missouri; eight grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by four brothers, Dorris, Dale, Don, Luther Ray Reeves and two sisters, Zelma Reeves and Reva Maxine Hamm.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of service on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.
Memorial service will be at 11 on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at the chapel with Rev. Jim Matthews officiating.
Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery in Scott City.
