Roger Newton Amos

Roger Newton Amos, son to the late Robert and Mary Spinks Amos was born on Nov. 9, 1963 in Allenville, Missouri and departed this life on January 25, 2024 at his home in Vanduser, Missouri at the age of 60 years.

He married Marsha Hatley on May 9, 1986 and she survives of the home.

He was an electrician for Magnitude 7, Fru-Con and worked for Billfinger Construction and Craftsman Union Hall. He was a member of Elks Lodge # 1810 in Chaffee.

Besides his wife he is also survived by two sons, Roger Diggs of Diswood, Illinois and Johnny (Regina) King of Jackson, Missouri; a daughter, Tonya Benfield of Vanduser; a brother, Mike (Diane) Amos of Overland, Kansas; a sister, Kathy (Terry) Edwards of Orange City, Florida; ten grandchildren, Evan and Indy Diggs, Jordan, Tyler, Joshua, Lindsay and Aubrey King, Maggie Penrose, Uzziah Beggs, Chance Hatley; three great-grandchildren, Peyton, Bryce and Preslee King.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 29, 2024 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. Funeral service will then be conducted at 1:00 pm at the funeral home chapel with Rev Phil Thompson officiating.
