Bobby Burks, son on Maxine (Hunsaker) Burks Scott of Chaffee and the late Thomas Burks was born on July 6, 1961 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and departed his life peacefully with his loved ones by his side on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at the Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 63 years.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Chaffee, Elks Lodge #1810 of Chaffee, and was a Chaffe High School graduate. Bobby was a former River Boat Caption and Black Jack Dealer at Hollywood Casino in Memphis, Tennessee. He previously was the owner and operator of Big E’s Bar and Grill with his late wife Pam.
Survivors include his mother, Maxine Scott of Chaffee, one brother, Tim Burks of Cape Girardeau, one daughter, Stevie (Bret) Wingard of Durango, Colorado; one son, Sidney Burks of Pewaukee, Wisconsin; step-brother, Jay (Lisa) Scott of Julian, North Carolina; two step-sisters, Nikki O’Connell of Sikeston and Gaye Lovegrove of Greenville, South Carolina; special aunt, Joann Rister, nieces, nephew, cousins, friends, and his dog, Pola.
Besides his father, he was preceded in death by his wife Pam (Jackson) Burks; grandparents; uncles and aunts.
Bobby wishes where to have no visitation or services. Family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at St. Francis and Barnes-Jewish for there wonderful care while Bobby was in ICU.
