Richard N. Pender

Richard N. Pender, son of the late William and Edna (Church) Pender was born February 26, 1940 in Texas County, MO and departed this life on Sunday, June 6, 2021 at the Hunter Acres Care Center in Sikeston, Mo, at the age of 81 years.

Mr. Pender retired from Operating Engineers Local 513. On December 24, 1970 he married Janet Thompson Hoots, she survives of the home.

Also surviving are two sons: Van (Suzan) Pender of Sonora, CA, Richard Scott (Sharon) Pender of Cable, OH; one daughter: Lori (Marcus) Rhodes of Denton, TX; four sisters: Sally Gann of Poplar Bluff, MO, Geraldine Miller of Colombia, MO, Charlotte Cowell of Marble Hill, MO, Saundra Stout of Imperial, MO; one brother Larry Pender of West Plains, MO; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one son: Chuck Hoots, and two brothers: Billy Joe and Douglas Pender.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Missouri Delta Hospice, Dylan Cooper, Chaplain Reavy and Amanda, Dorothy Harrington and Hunter Acres Caring Center.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 am on Thursday June 10, 2021 at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, MO. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 am in the Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Brown officiating. Burial will be at the Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee, MO.
