Revella Schlosser

Revella Schlosser, daughter of the late Andrew John and Mary Katherine (LeDure) Welter was born August 15, 1928 in Benton, Missouri and departed her life on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at the Monticello House in Jackson, Missouri at the age of 95 years.

Mrs. Schlosser was a member of the St, Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso, Missouri. She was also a member of the St. Augustine’s Ladies Sodality and VFW Auxiliary.  Revella enjoyed quilting and was known to gamble on occasion.  She was a great cook…as one of the “Kelso Cooks”, she and her fellow cooks were known throughout the county as preparing delicious meals for wedding, family reunions, and other large events.

On July 17, 1948 she married Vernon Nicholos Schlosser. He preceded her in death on July 6, 2010.

Her family and friends were very important to her.  Revella is survived by three children, Patricia Jenkins of Lake Ozark, Missouri, Gary (Becky) Schlosser of Scott City, Missouri, and Brenda (Chuck) Morrison of Summerfield, Florida.  She had three natural grandchildren; Jill (Jenkin) Weimer, Scott A. (Jodie) Schlosser and Carisa Schlosser (Eddie) Barnhill; five step-grandchildren; John D. Jenkins, Brenda (Jenkins) Kautz, James C. Jenkins, Joe I. Jenkins, and Alicia Lincoln; great-grandchildren, Garrett McIntosh, Grace McIntosh, Haley Lincoln, Tanner, Paityn, and Gavin Schlosser, Reese and Brody Barnhill, Jason Jenkins, Jacob Jenkins, James Jenkins, Katie Meier, Carrie Morrow, Riley Courtney and Jessie Jenkins.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

Visitation will be on Monday, November 27, 2023 from 4:00 until 8:00 pm with the prayer service starting at 4:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at 10:00 am at the St. Augustine Church in Kelso, Missouri with Father John Harth officiating. Burial will follow at the St. Augustine Catholic Cemetery in Kelso, Missouri.
