Peggy Joyce Kight

Peggy Joyce Kight, daughter to the late Roy Lee and Isabelle Edmonds Knight was born on April 14, 1945 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and departed this life on August 10, 2022 at St. Francis Medical Center Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 77 years.

She worked for the United States Postal Service until retirement. She was a member of the Commerce Baptist Church.

Peggy was united in marriage to Bobby Howard Kight on August 21, 1965. He preceded her in death on November 19, 1997

She is survived by a son, Mark Kight of Commerce; a daughter, Bobbie Jo Kight of Scott City; three brothers, Tommy Knight of St. Mary’s; Bobby Knight of Benton; Jerry Knight of Commerce; a grandchild, Lacey Jo (Justin) Fields of New Madrid and a great-grandchild Isabella Fields. Peggy was loved by many nieces and nephews and she loved her Kight family.

Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Earl and Terry Knight and a sister Delores “Sis” Lee,

Visitation will be on Friday, from 10:00 – 11:30 AM at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City, Missouri. Graveside service will then be conducted on Friday at 12:00 Noon at the Oakdale Cemetery in Commerce, Missouri with Rev. David Thompson officiating.
