Paul Mcanelly

Paul McAnelly, son of the Fred and Ella Lowery McAnelly was born on February 28, 1923 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and departed this life on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at the Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter, Missouri at the age of 96.

Mr. McAnelly was a former Custodian at Sikeston Senior High School in Sikeston, Missouri and a Farmer for many years. He was a Veteran of the United States Army serving in World War II, and a former resident of Oran area.

On December 2, 1948 he was united in marriage to Betty Jewel Lockhart. Mrs. McAnelly preceded him in death on November 19, 2008.

Survivors include one son, Steve McAnelly (Connie) of Jackson, Missouri; two daughters, Linda Northington of Dexter, Missouri and Patsy McAnelly of Memphis, Tennessee; one sister, Geneva Statler of Bloomfield, Missouri, also six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Rosie Morse, Bernice Eaves, and Pauline Bone Gaddy.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. on Friday, September 6, 2019 at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran, Missouri. Graveside service will then be conducted on Friday at 11:00 A.M. at the Forest Hills Cemetery in Morley, Missouri. Interment will follow in the Forest Hills Cemetery.
