Patricia Laws

Patricia Laws, daughter of the late Paul C. Durbin and Billie Jean Bendel Durbin was born on August 16, 1951 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and departed this life on April 7, 2021 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri surrounded by her family at the age of 69 years.

She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City, Missouri.  MawMaw was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

On July 25, 1969 she was united in marriage to Eddie Earl Laws, Sr. in Portageville, Missouri.  Mr. Laws preceded her in death on July 7, 2004.

Survivors include two sons, Eddie, Jr (Misti) Laws of Jackson, Missouri and Adam (Angie) Laws of Chaffee, Missouri; two daughters, Lee Ann (Dennis) Blankenship of Scott City, Missouri and Holly Spinks of Scott City; by two brothers, Michael Durbin and John Durbin both of Portageville, Missouri; two sisters, Becky Call of Portageville and Linda Gaines of Danville, Kentucky;  sixteen grandchildren, Morgan Blankenship, Logan Blankenship, Kristan Blankenship, Addison Blankenship, Ethan Blankenship, Taylor Laws, Baylee Sherwood, Braxton Laws, Trinity Laws, Daylon Spinks, Owen Spinks, Kinzlee Spinks, Alexis Laws, Landon Laws, Kaylee Laws, and Zachary Laws; also by three great-grandchildren, Melayna Spinks, Liam Spinks, and Honey May Sherwood.

Visitation will be held Sunday, April 11, 2021 from 4:00 until 7:00 P.M. at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.  Parish prayers will be at 6:50 pm.  Funeral mass will then be conducted on Monday, April 12, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. in the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City with Father Michael Casteel officiating.  Interment will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery.
