Patricia Ann Hester

Patricia Hester, daughter of the late Ather Earls and Helen Spoor Earls was born on December 2, 1936 in Morris, Illinois and departed this life to be with the Lord on Friday, September 9, 2022 at the Retirement Ranch in Clovis, New Mexico at the age of 85 years.

She was a nurse and retired from High Plains Medical Center in Clovis, New Mexico, of the Baptist faith, a 54-year resident of Clovis, New Mexico and formally of the Scott County area. She enjoyed history, nature, music, nurturing others in need and family was of course a top priority for her. She attended Delta High School where she initially met her beloved husband, Robert Hester. They were life partners and were married for 66 years. He preceded her in death on August 19, 2022. She was also proceeded in death by her beloved sister Nancy Lee Cassady on May 6, 2016.

She is survived by her brother David Alan Gahr(wife Connie) of Katy Texas and her son, Richard Lynn Hester(wife Lea) of Denison, Texas. Three Grandchildren, Hailey M. Hester of Sherman, Texas, Erick J. Castille(wife Lauren) of New York City, New York and Jennifer L. Kennedy(husband Thomas) of Albuquerque, Two Great Granddaughters, Lily and Willow Kennedy of Albuquerque.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2022 from 10:00 until 11:00 at the Amick- Burnett Funeral Home in Chaffee. Funeral services will then be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday with Rev. Earl Elfrink officiating. Interment will follow in the Kenyon Cemetery.
