Patsy Ann Toombs

Patsy Ann Toombs, daughter of the late Melvin Surface and Viola (Lusk) Surface was born on December 23, 1945 in Delta, Missouri and departed her life on Wednesday, December 25, 2024 at the Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 79 years.

Mrs. Toombs was a former employee of Florsheim Shoe Factory and former resident of Delta.

She was first united in marriage to David Johnson and then later on was united in marriage to Willis Toombs.  They both preceded her in death.

Survivors include three sons, David Johnson of Cape Girardeau, Bryan Johnson of Steedman, Missouri, and Michael Johnson of Thebes, Illinois; two daughters, Michelle Johnson of Cape Girardeau and Lisa Moit of Scott City; two brothers, Melvin Surface of Delta and Marvin Surface of Leopold, Missouri; four sisters, Nancy McIntrye of Cape Girardeau, Linda Wells of Jackson, Joyce McCalf and Judy Crane both of Delta; eight grandchildren and twenty-two greatgrandchildren.

Besides her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by one son, Melvin Johnson; one sister, Mary Vanmater, and two grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 until 2:00 PM on Friday, December 27, 2024 at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.  Graveside service will then be conducted at 2:00 PM in the Kenyon Cemetery in Delta with Rev. Randy Conn officiating.  Interment will follow at Kenyon Cemetery in Delta, Missouri.
