Pastor Jack Owens
Pastor Jack Owens, 80, left this walk of life on September 7th, 2021 at his home in Chaffee Missouri. Pastor Jack was born in Arbor Missouri on June 6th, 1941 to Charlie and Maddie Owens. From an early age Pastor Jack devoted his life to serving the Lord. Pastor Jack preached for sixty-six years, many of those years at New life Gospel center of Scott city Missouri. Pastor Jack was a living expression of God’s love and kindness. Within his 80 years on earth, he made the world a better place. Pastor Jack was a loving man who had a heart of gold, he never met a stranger no matter how young or old.
Pastor Jack is preceded in death by his parents Charlie and Maddie Owens, sisters Connie Taylor, Betty Moit, and Rosemary Ford, brothers Ronnie Owens, Billy Gene Goodman, and Don Brady, one child, and two grandchildren.
Pastor Jack is survived by his wife Shirley Owens of Chaffee. Five children Debbie (Ricky) Aters of Wappopello MO, Ronnie Owens of Scott City MO, Jonathan Owens of Belview Valley MO, Rosemary Owens of Chaffee MO, and Tiffany (Michael) Hinton of Chaffee MO. Sister Virginia (Val) Williams and brother Floyd (Barb) Owens. Grandchildren Jorgia (Samuel) Bowling, Mackenzie Williams, Stormy, Liberty, Brenton and Brittany Owens. He also leaves an abundance of relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 until 7:00 P.M. Thursday, September 9, 2021 at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City, Missouri. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, September 10, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at the New Life Gospel center in Scott City with Rev. Kenny Strong, Rev. Cletus Glueck, Rev. Larry Taylor, and Rev. Travis Hendrix officiating. Interment will follow at the Williams Cemetery in Perkins, Missouri.
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me, the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day and not only to me but also to all who have longed for his appearing. 2 Timothy 4:7-8
