Opal Jane Vessells, daughter to the late Floyd Dee and Beulah Beatrice Spain Blue was born on August 4, 1936 in Randels, Missouri and departed this life on November 7, 2020 in Chaffee, Missouri at the age of 84.
Mrs. Vessells married Sherman Arvie Vessells on December 20, 1952 at Piggott, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on December 23, 2010.
She worked at Lee Rowan Wire in Jackson as a wire cutter for many years and later on went to work at the local Columbia Sportswear plant in Chaffee where she retired from.
She is survived by a daughter, Beverly (Joe) James and a son, Sherman Vessells both of Chaffee; four grandchildren: Shannon (Bonnie) Dannenmueller of Scott City, Erica (John) Enderle of Scott City, Bryan (Lindsay) Craft of Cape Girardeau and Alysha Vessells of Cape Girardeau and eight great-grandchildren: Jacob Gettings, Hailey Dannenmueller, Amanda Enderle, Macy Enderle, Courtanie Stoffregen, Janden Stoffregen, Seaera Dunning and Evin Craft.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters, a grandson (Terry Craft), and a daughter-in-law (Donna Vessells).
Visitation will be from 1:00 – 2:00 pm on Friday, November 13, 2020 at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, Missouri. Funeral Service will follow at 2 pm with Rev. Jack Owens and Rev. Travis Hendrix officiating. Interment will be at Kenyon Cemetery in Delta, Missouri.
