Norval Melford Friese

Norval Melford Friese, 93 of Cape Girardeau, Missouri died Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at the Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau. He was born June 25m 1927 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri to Burnie and Lillie Crites Friese. He married Mildred “Louise” Davis on December 24, 1949 in Illmo, Missouri. She preceded him in death on March 2, 2020.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and the U.S. Navy. He served in World War II. He retired from the Cape Girardeau police department.

He is survived by a son, Doug (Lisa) Friese and three grandchildren, Max Friese, Vince Friese and Chara Bruner.

He was also preceded in death by a son, Chuck Friese; two brothers, Carlston “Gene” Friese and Carl Melvin Friese and a sister, Doris Hartle.

Private graveside service will be 10:00 am on Friday at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau with full military honors with Rev. Jim Matthews officiating.
