Norma Emerson

Norma Gene Emerson, 78 of Sikeston, Missouri died Saturday, January 2, 2021 at her home.  She was born February 14, 1942 in Sikeston to Jesse and Glenda Kirbey Whittley.   She married James Emerson on December 31, 1960, he preceded her in death in 2003.

She is survived by three sons, Tim Emerson and Rick Emerson of Summerdale, Alabama and Michael Emerson of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; a brother, Benny (Vera) Cook of Oran, Missouri; four sisters, Wanda “Sue” Webb of Morley, Missouri, Louise Coatney and Terrye Mitchell of Sikeston and Shelia (Billy) Henson of Springfield, Missouri; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, Joe Emerson; a brother, Jesse Whittley, Jr and a brother-in-law, Kenneth Webb.

Memorial service will be at a later date.
