Norma Jean Chapman Burke

Norma Burke, daughter of the late Herschel Chapman and Augé Eva Lee Andrews was born on December 20, 1943 in Anna, Illinois and departed this life on Monday, October 11, 2021 at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 77 years.

Mrs. Burke was a homemaker, of the Pentecostal faith, and a resident of Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

On December 12, 1964 she was united in marriage to Billy Gene Burke in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.  Mr. Burke preceded him in death on August 13, 2021.

Survivors include one son, Jeff (Crystal) Burke of Fetus, Missouri; one daughter, Chiffonda (Wayne) Robinett of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; one step-son, Rory (Julia) Burke of Glen Allen, Missouri; by two brothers, James Chapman and Willie Joe Chapman; three sisters, Martha Lemonds, Emalou Hutchins, and Nancy Auston; also, by eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and fourteen great-great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Brian Scott Burke; four brothers and 2 sisters.

Visitation will be held Friday, October 22, 2021 from 10:00 until 12:00 noon.  Funeral services will be conducted on Friday at 12:00 noon in the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.  Interment will follow in the Union Park Cemetery.
