Nellie Frances Sanders, 88, of Chaffee passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born on Aug. 13, 1930 in Morley, Missouri to the late Thomas and Myrtle Cruse Jackson. She married George Sanders on Dec. 12, 1948 and he preceded her in death on April 5, 1994.

Nellie was a homemaker. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau. She loved Cardinal baseball, Kentucky basketball, crocheting and cooking.

She is survived by two sons, Wade (Laura) Sanders of Leopold, Missouri; Doug (Desire’) Sanders of Arlington, Texas; two daughters, Gloria (Stan) Ransom of Fenton, Missouri; Sharon (Bill) Coleman of Ft. Meyers, Florida; three sisters, Dorothy Bryeans of Morley, Missouri; Betty (Charles) Lentz of Wappapello, Missouri; Janice (Steve) Hilleman of Benton, Missouri; ten grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren with one on the way and two great-great-grandchildren

She was also preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call after 11:00 am until time of service on Friday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.

Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm on Friday at the Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Johnson officiating. Burial will be at Oakdale Cemetery in Commerce, Missouri.
