Nancy Taylor, daughter of the late James Robert Lemmink and Virgina (Carr) Lemmink was born on November 11, 1949 in Lilbourn, Missouri and departed her life on Friday, June 21, 2024 at the Mercy Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau at the age of 74.
She was a former owner/operator of Robey Appliance in Sikeston with her first husband, Don Robey. Nancy later on in life was a proud homemaker at her residence in Benton. She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed spending time with her family and extended family.
She was first united in marriage to Donald Ray Robey. He preceded her in death in 1980. She was then united in marriage to Velton “Pap” Taylor on July 5, 1985 in Benton. Pap preceded her in death on February 3, 2013.
Survivors include one daughter, Jamie (Corey) Casey of Benton; one sister, Sandra Carr of Benton, five grandchildren, Donnie Robey and Daniel Robey both of Sikeston, Adrianna Robey and Abby Robey both of Cape Girardeau, and Alexander Casey of Benton; three special nephews, she thought of as grandchildren, Galen Lemmink of Harrisburg, Illinois, Dakota Harper of Benton, and Colt Ellis of Blodget; sister-in-law, C.J. Hughes of Benton; also, by her fur companion, Tinky.
Besides her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by one son, John David Robey; two brothers, James Robert Lemmink, Jr. and James Allen Lemmink; also, by a very special friend, Roger Morrow.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2024 from 10:00 until 11:00AM at the Unity Baptist Church in Benton. Celebration of life service will then be conducted at 11:00AM with Rev. Dennis Lowe officiating.
