Monica Lynn Brennecke, graduate of Scott City, daughter of Mark (Tanya) Wasiloski and Judy (Leslie) Strong, was born on February 10, 1971 in Peoria, Illinois, and departed her life on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at “Her Happy Place” in Glenallen, Missouri at the age of 51.
Monica was a Purchasing Agent for the Community Counseling Center of Cape Girardeau for twenty-four years. She enjoyed camping, socializing, was the life of the party, and was everybody’s friend. She especially loved spending time with her son and two step-daughters.
Apart from her parents, she is survived by one son: Cody Brennecke of Chaffee, Missouri; two step-daughters: Macie (Blake) Mayfield of Jackson, Missouri, Cori Brennecke of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; four brothers: Pete (Lisa) Wasiloski of Tuscola, Illinois, Lennie (Susan) Strong of Sparland, Illinois, Fred (Colleen) Leuallen of West Peoria, Illinois and Vince (Shawna) Wasiloski of Trenton, Ohio; two sisters: Lisa (Eric) Scheffert of Dunlap, Illinois, Lila (Troy) Schmick of Dunlap, Illinois; one cousin “Sister”: Kay (Chris) Keller of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; and one special friend: Brian Mashek of Scott City, Missouri.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Bob Lenz officiating. Interment will follow at the Lightner Memorial Cemetery in Scott City, Missouri.
The Family Request that Memorial Donations be made to Cody Brennecke, please mail to 115 E. Hickory, Scott City, Missouri 63780. The Funeral Home will also provide envelopes.
