Miranda Glasser, 39 of Blodgett, Missouri died Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. She was born January 21, 1982 in Bartow, Florida to Steve and Cathie Cruz.  She married Stephen Glasser on June 4, 2011.

She was a CNA at St. Francis Medical Center and was member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City.  She was a strong, kind, loving mother, wife, daughter and sister.  She never met a stranger and welcomed everybody with open arms.

Miranda was the kind of mother that put her children first.  She was the most selfless person even when she was sick with her illness but always had the sweetest smile on her face and the most contagious laugh.

She is survived by her husband, Stephen; her mother Cathie Cruz of Benton; her children, Alex and Breanna Backfisch of Blodgett; two brothers, Raymond (Sonia) Galloway and Stephen
(Kathy) Cruz of Benton; two sisters, Marisela (Danielle McCandless) Cruz of Peidmont and Alisha Fisk of Fruitland; brother and sisters in law, Pat Glasser  and Rose (Ahmmed) Ali both of Connecticut, Dorothy (Ken) Lett, Kenny (Theresa) Glasser and Cathy (Bob Barrows) Glasser all of Scott City; Willy (Karen) Glasser of Kelso and Mildred (Joe) McCormick of Tennessee.

She was preceded in death by her dad, Steve Cruz and mother and father-in-law, Wilfred and Mary Glasser.

Visitation will be from 4:00 -8:00 pm on Friday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.  Rosary will be at 7:00 pm

Funeral service will be at 10:00 am on Saturday at the chapel with Revs. Michael Casteel and Dennis Lowe officiating.

Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Scott City.
