Shawn Stevens

Shawn Michael Stevens, 39 of Cape Girardeau died February 22, 2021 at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.  He was born January 3, 1982 in Cape Girardeau to Eugene Stevens and Debbie Held Stevens.

He was a culinary chef and attended Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts in Minnesota.

He is survived by his mother, Debbie (Robert) Gullett of Jackson; his father, Eugene Stevens of Cape Girardeau; life partner, Kevin Nelson of Cape Girardeau; his faithful companion, Loki his dog; aunts, Donna (Ira) Froggatt, Sue Dinwiddie, Linda Matlock, Phyllis Miller, Mary Stevens and Doreen Stevens; an uncle, James (Bonnie) Stevens and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Visitation will be from noon – 1:00 pm on Friday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.

Memorial service will be at 1:00 pm on Friday at the chapel with Rev. Randy Morse officiating.
