Michael Lee McCollum

Michael Lee McCollum, son of Peggy Jones of Puxico, Missouri and the late Michael K. McCollum was born on November 30, 1977 in Sikeston, Missouri. He departed this life on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at the Southeast Health Center of Stoddard County in Dexter, Missouri at the age of 43 years.

Mike enjoyed riding motorcycles, racing, and hanging out with family and friends. His greatest enjoyment was helping others with mechanical work. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and a resident of Dexter, Missouri.

On March 23, 1996 he was united in marriage to Jacque Clayton at the Beech Grove Church in Essex, Missouri. Mrs. McCollum survives of the home in Dexter.

Besides his wife and mother, survivors include one daughter, Cheyene McCollum of Dexter, Missouri; one son, Dylan Boyer of Dexter; three brothers, Jimmy McCollum of Puxico, Travis Jones of Bloomfield, and Cross McCollum of Dexter; maternal grandmother, Janice Kelley of Bloomfield.

Besides his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Willard Kelley.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 8, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton. Funeral services will then be conducted at 1:00 p.m. in the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in the Walker Cemetery near Bloomfield.
