Mary Marcella Holdiness

Mary Marcella Holdiness, daughter of the late Paul and Izella (Lewis) Harty was born October 10, 1951 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and was promoted to glory on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her family at the age of 70 years.

Mrs. Holdiness loved to crochet, do puzzles, playing boardgames, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

On September 11, 1971 she married Ronald Lynn Holdiness Sr. in Jackson, Missouri. He survives.

Also surviving are Ronald (Theresa) Holdiness Jr. of Chaffee, Missouri, William (Dawn) Holdiness of Scott City, Missouri; two brothers: Gordon (Pam) Harty of St. Peters, Missouri, Gary (Kathy)  Harty of Easton, Pennsylvania; four sisters: Elieen (Gary) LaFary of Bushnell, Illinois, Phyllis McGuire of Winchester, Illinois, Paulette (Lyle) Johnston, Jackson, MO, Ramona Harty of Jackson, Missouri; nine grandchildren: Sierra, Chelsea, Haley, Brandon, James, Gunner, Riley, Joshua, Katey; and eleven great-grandchildren.

Apart from her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Paul Harty Jr., and Jack Harty.

There will be a memorial visitation on December 18, 2021 at Scott City First from 11:00am -12:00 in Scott City, Missouri. Memorial Service will follow at 12:00 in the church with Rev. Larry Rouse.
