Mary Jean Hitt

Mary Jean Hitt, age 82, of Cape Girardeau, died Thursday December 5 at Chateau Girardeau in Cape Girardeau.

She was Born, December 19, 1936, near Commerce, Missouri the daughter of Martin Wilhelm Friedrich and Bessie Estelle Raines Koch.

On March 8, 1959 she married Paul Leroy Hitt at St. Pul United Methodist Church in Commerce. He preceded her in death on January 26, 2016.

She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers Marion, Joseph and Albert Koch and a sister Golda Koch Johnson.

Visitation will be Sunday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City from 4 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be Monday at 10:00 a.m. at the Chapel with the Rev. Dave Conley officiating.

Burial will follow in Forrest Hills Cemetery near Morley.
