Mary Fowler

Mary Fowler, daughter of the late Theon Schaefer and Marie (Schoen) Schaefer was born on June 27, 1950 in Kelso, Missouri and departed her life on Friday, December 22, 2023 at her residence in Scott City, Missouri at the age of 73 years.

She was a high school graduate from Ilmo Scott City and former Cook for East Missouri Action Agency in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Mary enjoyed spending time with grandchildren, going to play Bingo and the Casino, reading, vacationing with family, and playing cards.

Survivors include one son James (Kelly) Talley of Scott City, Missouri; one daughter, Jodi Ann Ferrell of Scott City, Missouri; two brothers, Gilbert (Bonnie) Schaefer of Jefferson City, Missouri and Mike (Lisa) Schaefer of Scott City; one sister, Dorene Hamm of Jackson, Missouri; three grandchildren, Dakota Talley, Jordanne Talley, and Evie Ferrell all of Scott City, Missouri; by one brother-in-law, Roy Blankenship of Jacksonville, Florida; also, by other close family friends, Earl Simpson and Dianna Gibbs.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death three brothers, Theon Schaefer, Veron Schaefer, and Vincent Schefer; by two sister, Pat Blankenship and Sharon Knight; also, by one grandson, Theo Ferrell.

Celebration of life service will be held at a later date.  Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapels assisting with arrangements.
