Marilyn Marie Dohogne

Marilyn Dohogne, daughter of the late Wilson Davis and Mary (Grantham) Davis was born on December 16, 1931 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and departed this life on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at the age of 92.

In 1950, she married John Dohogne Jr and they made their home on a farm in Randles MO.  Marilyn loved the farm life and was a devoted mother raising six children. She was a former employee at Southeast Hospital in the Physical Therapy department where she thoroughly enjoyed helping patients for a number of years. Marilyn loved hosting family gatherings at her home, had become an excellent cook and was famous for her delicious chicken and dumplings. She loved to sew, read, write, was very smart and had a remarkable memory. She had a real sense of humor and a contagious laugh. Among her favorite things were loving and playing with her grandkids. Mrs. Dohogne was a member of the Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Oran, MO.

Survivors include two sons, Kenneth (Kim) Dohogne of Delta and John (Paula) Dohogne of Oran; two daughters, Karen (Ray) Gramlisch of Festus, Missouri and Marsha (Michael) Morgan of Cape Girardeau; fourteen grandchildren, thirty-two great-grandchildren, and twelve great-great-grandchildren; also, by numerous nieces and nephew whom she loved dearly.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Debbie Landeros and Tina Nations; five sisters, Alfreda Dudley, Katherine Butler, Virginia Scarpinato, Pat Caldwell, and Shirly Mize; by one brother, William Davis.
