Marilyn Dodd

Marilyn Jo Dodd, 62 of Scott City, Missouri went to her heavenly home with her family by her side on Wednesday, December 19, 2018. She was born September 14, 1956 in Cape Girardeau to Elroy Delbert and Erna Jean Grey Mueller. She married Edward Lee Dodd, Sr. on March 8, 1971 in Cape Girardeau.
She worked as machine operator at Thorngate. She was of the Pentecostal faith. She loved her family, spending time with her kids and her grandkids brought her the most joy.
She is survived by her husband, Edward; two sons, Lee (Christina) Dodd of Benton and Casey (Heather) Dodd of Jackson; a daughter, Christy ( Shawn) Griffin of South Haven, Mississippi; three brothers, Delbert Mueller of Jackson, David Mueller of Valparaiso, Indiana and Marty Mueller of Kelso; two sisters, Gladys Retherford of Cape Girardeau and Carolyn Kissiar of Elco, Illinois; ten grandchildren, Chad (Beth), Ashley, Haley, Ry, Alexis, Skyler, Zach, Hayden, Khloe and Kolton; two great grandchildren, Drake and Tatum and her special dog Bambi.
Visitation will be from noon until the time of service on Saturday at the Amick-Burnett Chapel in Scott City.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday at the chapel with Revs. David McNeely and Robert Smithey officiating.
Burial will be at Lindsey Cemetery in McClure, Illinois
Memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or to Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel to assist with funeral expenses.
