Marilyn Sue Dame

Marilyn Sue Dame, daughter of the late Ira Simmons and Elizabeth (Haubold) Simmons was born on June 26, 1939 in Sikeston, Missouri and departed her life on Monday at The Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on December 18, 2023 at the age of 84.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Chaffee, Missouri, member of the P.E.O. in Chaffee.  Marilyn was a homemaker and former Teachers Aid at Chaffee Elementary.

Survivors include three sons, Alan (Gail) Dame of Wolf Lake, Illinois, Jeremy (Stacey) Dame of Oran, Missouri, and Jordan Dame of Denver, Colorado; by one brother Randy (Cheryl) Simmons of Holt, Missouri; four grandchildren, Colin (Katessa) Dame, Bailey (Brett) Blair, Carter Dame, and Logan Dame; also, by one great-granddaughter, Myla Dame.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Teresa Jones.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2023 from 9:00 until 11:00 AM at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Chaffee.  Funeral services will then be conducted at 11:00 AM with Rev. Gerald Collier officiating.  Interment will follow in the Forrest Hills Memorial Gardens in Morley, Missouri.
