Margie Klipfel
Margaret Rose “Margie” Klipfel was born on February 24, 1936 in Glennon, Missouri to Hubert and Mamie (Beel) Stause. She departed this world on October 6, 2024 at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau, Missouri surrounded by family at the age of 88 years.
On November 7, 1953 she was united in marriage to Ralph Klipfel. Mr. Klipfel preceded her in death on March 22, 1996.
Survivors include one son, Darrell (Libby) Klipfel of New Hamburg, Missouri; two daughters, Donna (Gerry) VanMatre of Wappapello, Missouri and Deanna (Ken) Schmid of Apopka, Florida; one sister, Ellie Elfrink of Jackson, Missouri; one siter-in-law, Judy Stause of Glennon, Missouri; one brother-in-law, Floyd (Carol) Klipfel of New Hamburg; three grandchildren, Ben (Lauren) Klipfel of Fortworth, Texas, Brandy (Jason) Below of Benton, Missouri, and Josh Klipfel of Arlington, Texas; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; four step-grandchildren; nine step-great-grandchildren; also, by several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by six brothers, Norman Stause, Jim Stause, Alvin Stause, Clarence “Peck” Stause, Patrick Stause, and Robert Stause; one sister, Marie (Sis) Hinkebein; one granddaughter, Candy Faries.
Margie attended Glennon School and she was a former employee of Florsheim Shoe and later in life The County Seat in Benton. She was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in New Hamburg, St. Anns Sodality, New Hamburg Extension Club, and the New Hamburg Homemakers club.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 7, 2024 from 4:00 until 7:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 in the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton. Eucharistic Celebration will be held on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at 10:00 AM in the St. Lawrence Catholic Church with Pastor Daniel Belken presiding. Interment will follow in the St. Lawrence Catholic Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers donations may be sent in the honor of Margie to the Kenny Roger’s Children’s Center, 300 Floyd Drive, Sikeston, Missouri 63801
