Margaret "Margie" Stanley

Margaret “Margie” Stanley of Benton, MO, formally of Oran, MO passed away on Saturday, Jan. 15, 2022 at Southeast Hospital at the age of 76 years.

She was born February 17, 1945 in Detroit, Michigan to the late William Ted and Mary Ellen Vinson. She married George Edward Stanley on Aug. 24, 1963 and he preceded her in death on July 28, 2017.

Margie was a retired shoe factory worker who loved playing bingo, cards, scenic car rides and going to the boat.

She is survived by one son, Jerry Stanley (Christina Gremand) of Benton; two daughters, Angela Burton (Ron Wheetley) of Arab, MO and Karen (Shane) Dirnberger of Oran; two sisters, Shirley (Dennis) Wieland and Marie Seaton; a brother-in-law, Bud Armstrong; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren with one on the way.

Besides her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Scott Stanley; a daughter, Fawn Stanley; a sister, Bonnie Armstrong, two brothers, Billy Wayne and Ted Vinson.

Graveside Service will take place at 2:00 pm on April 9, 2022 in the Forest Hills Memorial Garden, Morley, MO with Rev. Dennis Lowe officiating.
