Margaret Mary Spence of Benton, Missouri

January 8, 1928 - November 23, 2019

Margaret Mary Spence, 91, formerly of Benton passed away at the Clearview Nursing Center in Sikeston on Saturday, November 23, 2019. She was born January 8, 1928 in Wellingbrough, England the daughter of Eric Sidney and Winifred Turnell Godfrey. She Married George Daniel Spence on August 21, 1944 in Wellingbrough. He preceded her in death on October 13, 2007.

She was a member of Unity Baptist Church in Benton and Worked as a seamstress at the Florshiem Shoe Factory.

She is survived by; a son Danny Spence of Bertrand, Mo. and a daughter Peggy Laminack of Doniphan, Mo. four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by three brothers.

Visitation will be at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton on Tuesday from 10 to 11:00 a.m. the funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Dennis Lowe officiating. Burial will follow in Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
